GAAPSF and JUA President, Obaid AL-ANZI, issued a statement today requested the IOC and related sports organizations to plan well ahead a practical solution for the Athletes of China, Chinese Taipei Hong Kong and Macau.
“ On behalf of the General Association of Asia Pacific Sports Federatios (GAAPSF) and the Judo Union of Asia (JUA), I, the president Mr Obaid Al Anzi, take a strong stand towards the Sporting Community of the People’s Republic of China, in view of the current terrible situation of the Corona Virus.
Hence in the current prevailing scenario the GAAPSF and JUA are of the view that no sports Athlete should adversely suffer for no fault of their own in taking active part and compete in the forthcoming Olympic Games in Tokyo Japan.
GAAPSF and JUA request the concerned Sports Authorities to plan well ahead a practical solution for the Athletes of China and surrounding regions of Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese Taipei.
Mr. Marius Vizer. the Honorary President of GAAPSF and President of IJF is taking helpful initiative for the benefit of athletes of affected region and we as Sports Community strongly support Mr. Marius Vizer.
Together we will stand, we shall overcome and we will prevail.”
